The original “foxy” fuzz surfaced in the early 70s, gracing the records of countless guitar legends. As eye-catching as it was ear-grabbing, the velvet-covered pedal quickly established itself as one of the boldest, fiercest fuzz tones around. The Warm Audio Foxy Tone Box faithfully recreates the circuit of this sonic masterpiece, bringing with it all the glory and soul of yesteryear’s classic sounds. Best of all, you don’t need to drop half a grand to own one! Each Foxy Tone Box is hand-assembled with premium components. In an attempt to capture the purest of tonal magic, we used hard-to source NOS Fairchild germanium transistors—the very same ones used in the original unit—along with germanium diodes, high-watt carbon resistors, and film capacitors throughout. The result is an auditory time capsule of sorts, transporting the player back to a musically fertile era when creativity flowed like lava lamps and fuzz reigned supreme.
